Author of ‘Backswing’ coming to JSC March 5 as part of BFA Visiting Writers Series

Aaron Burch, author of Backswing, a collection of stories, and founder and editor of the literary journal Hobart, will read from his work at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in the Stearns Cinema Room at Johnson State College. The event, sponsored by JSC’s BFA in Creative Writing program, is free and open to the public.
Burch’s fiction has appeared in numerous literary magazines and anthologies, including The Best Innovative Writing, Another Chicago Magazine, New York Tyrant, Los Angeles Review and Barrelhouse. He is author of the novella How to Predict the Weather and the chapbook How to Take Yourself Apart, How to Make Yourself Anew, which was the winner of PANK‘s inaugural chapbook contest.
